Just put the Tial on (vid)
so TialSport, you are saying that the spring does not affect the amount of boost pressure that can be held, only the amount of vacuum that is pulled. i have a tial q with the pink spring, and i pull -20 to 22 in vacuum. so that seems to be the correct spring for me? the white one is for -12 -15. my car seems to have some compressor surge, it flutters followed by the valve opening, when i hear the flutter, the valve is still shut. would switching to the white one help, even though it is for less vacuum?
i have a tial on my evo9 (the 50mm not the q)... runs very strong at WOT.. i was running the stock maf for awhile but went ahead and ordered a gm maf with a translator.. the only problem with the bov on the stock maf was when you were boosting just a little bit (about 10 pounds or so)... the car would start jerking and such.. no stalling issues tho.
Thanks.
ps. why would u need to upgrade the maf anyways?
^^^ yes you would need a tune.
An evo's MAF does not like VTA BOV's. The car jerks and such.
mine jerked when i first put it on.....got it tuned...and it still does it some but the tune deffinetly helped me out alot.
and you dont need to upgrade the MAF

Lets just say I quuickly turned down the mbc Its a tad rough, not that bad at all. But I am not tuned yet, so when it gets tuned it will run alittle better. The sound is just pure sex lol and it does its job. I DIDNT touch the boost controller, just switched BOV's and went from 27-28 lbs to 30 lbs lol. The stocker must have been leaking, so when I switched I got the REAL boost I had

It had to be more than 30psi. The needle was past what the gauge reads.
