Do you have the electrical connection still connected to the factory BCS. It needs to be the simply cap off the ports

The stock BCS needs to be plugged in.

Be sure your boost limits are set high enough so that you are not exceeding the load limit in the ECU.

In front of the battery usually under the intake box. Some aftermarket intakes require you to tweak its position. Its gold with 2 ports and an electrical connection.

Likely that is your issue then man. Do you see the plug just dangling there somewhere?? I don't believe any harm will come to the car being that it just stays capped off anyways but not having the connector plugged in will surely **** off the ECU

PM russellm from mitsubishiparts.net It can't cost that much for a new one

Thats not what the EVO piece actually looks like but if he did throw away your BCS like I said the electrical plug will still be in there dangling off the main harness. Just get a new one and plug it back in.

I know that even when going MBC/EBC the ECU still needs to see that electrical connection to keep happy and code free

Not doubting you man but I'm positive the ECU will throw a code if the stock BCS is unplugged.

If this is not the issue you'll be looking to the tune as Scott from TTP mentioned. You'll need to look to the Boost Limit, and other boost related mapping to ensure they are set high enough
