hey guys i have a hks super sequential blow off valve and i was wondering what the screw was on the back and if i tighten it will it make it sound diffrent thnks guys
aslo forgot to say im haveing troulbe with it stalling on me when i rev it up and aslo if im driveing and throw it into neutral do u guys have any things to help me to fix that problem
Not sure what the screw is for... but if you have this BOV on your car and it is NOT recirculated (which I am assuming because of the stalling) then you need to buy a recirculation kit for it.. or install the recirculation portion that came with it.. IMO this BOV is terrible for the evo's, especially if you are VTA with the stock maf in place.. put a stock metal 9 dv on your car or jdm metal dv... or aps twin vent if you using stock MAF..
you shouldnt have that BOV on an evo anyway......if you want a BOV sound by an intake and leave your stock BOV alone.
this BOV is the biggest peice of **** i have ever seen........everyone has problems with it.
who cares about sound....take it off........and its stalling because you do not have a tune for the BOV.

You have an 03' and you can't run any BOV VTA if your running the stock ECU and MAF. Only the 05's and 06' can run VTA but then we run rich. You need to either recirculate your current BOV or purchase an APS Twin Vent which runs like stock and hold more boost. But the basic answer to your stalling issue is the BOV has to recirculate or your car will continue to stall. As for the screw wow that is the Ver. 1 SSQV. But the screw is there to control the spring pressure which controls how fast or slow the valve will open under partial boost. I had the same BOV on my 00' Turbo Civic and it was fine but only because there is no MAF on that car.
