ARP L19 head studs 1+1... what to TQ???

^^ Can you explain that? The L19s / H11 tool steel requires oiling in order to protect it from corrosion...

I'm pretty sure AMS reccomended 95lbs when I asked them a while back.

When I installed mine I did 85- heat cycled them and retorqued to 95 which I got from MAP/ARP

Are you guys not worried about distorting the block and/or head with that kind of trq? Unless the engine was bored with a trq plate that was torqued down to 90, 95, or 100 I'd say this is not a good idea. I would think the advantage to these over the reg. ARP would be their resistance to stretch under extreme cylinder press and not that they could be tightened more.

i have the same question on this topic, but my question is, is there a pattern or step by step procedures of torque, or do i just torque it straight to the recommended torque? anyone actually know the question to this? please help me out, i've been searching around and no answers!

does ARP still call for 30wt. oil to be used on the L19's when installing them? My set didn't come with any arp lube etc...

never tq it down with out the arp lube you wont get a accurate tq reading and the nuts will bind up

the normal arp need 80ft/lb with arp lube, and 85 ft/lb if you use 10w30 oil.
