His WG is connected I can see the line going to the side port. Top port need not be used for MBC applications. No that nipple will not leak boost

Check all of your piping once again, make sure there are no rips or holes in any of the couplers.

boost leak, check all your vaccum lines. I had a small hole in one of mine and had the same symptoms.
