Spark Plugs - To gap or not to gap?
Spark Plugs - To gap or not to gap?
Looking to purchase some plugs for my Evo VIII. I want to go with stock replacement plugs.
So here's the confusion.. Apparently you're not supposed to gap these plugs..
The service manual says this:

and the NGK website says this:

Can I just buy those plugs and install or do I try and cutting down the gap because it's at .032 and the manual says max is .031 ??
Thanks

I think you meant .024
Using the irridiums be sure to use feeler gauges to check the gap and not a gapper tool as this could damage the tip.
They say they are supposed to be pre gapped but I trust no one
