HELP! Detonation in only one cylinder!

I need help guys as to the cause of this. Here's the story:
Drove to vegas and on the way back (about a 3 hour drive) I got about half way and noticed a sputtering at the top of fifth and fourth on the highway when I was on the gas hard and in boost. Got home parked the car let her cool down. Went to move her and she was idling rough! Real rough. I pulled the plugs and the #1 cylinder (the cylinder closest to the throttle body) plug [the ground part] was practically gone and melted. Pulled the rest and nothing. Swapped out the plugs gapped them at .024 and went for a test drive. First Second Third runs near a wall listening and for detonation. Got onto the highway and all was good. Then Rolled into it in fifth and BAM detonation again. I'm talking hardcore misfiring. Get off the highway and once again every gear in boost detonation. Pulled the plugs and the #1 plug is again toast after only 10 miles at most.
Pleas help my baby is sick.

Cliff notes:
1.5 hours into 3 hour trip notice detonation top of fourth and fifth on highway
Pull plugs at home #1 cylinder plug melted
Change plugs
10 miles into test drive detonation again
Pull plugs; #1 is melted again
All other plugs are fine
HELP MY BABY IS SICK!

Your hitting higher loads and probably running an unsafe boost level for octane/boost level. What did you hit for psi on the high gear pulls?

* Cylinder closes to the throttle body is cylinder #4 FYI *

Try switching the coils around and see if that problem is moved to a diff cylinder. That'll rule out or find if the coil is defective.

If you're melting the plug you may have a problem with your injector causing that cylinder to run lean. After melting 2 spark plugs you've probably done some permanent damage to that cylinder. I would do a compression test to see where things stand.

What are your AFRs? What boost levels? Can you send a log?

My guess is you are running too lean in that cylinder and it may be as simple as a fouled injector combined with a lean tune (no safety margin)....Just a guess without data...
