motor blew up!

after 4 pulls of street tuned.we heard ticking noise though it just a valve springs or cams where the noise is coming from .i told my friend the tuning session got to stop for now till i found out whats wrong with her and try to drive the car home noise got louder she completely shut off 'no oil loss or smoke. this motor freshly rebuilti unplugged spark plugs <(no detonation) took the cover off and manually crank it with rachet i hear noise comin from #4 cylinder. called my backyard mechanic that built the motor sad to say he's blaming my tuner.im just upset right now coz dont have the fund$ to get her running again.i trust these guys to get my car on a top shape .but now when it comes down to it.these guys disappear'

Sorry mate. That really sucks. In cases like this is where you see what kind of people you are dealing with. If they dont work it out post names and places so they loose business. Make it public. Only realiable people should call themsleves tunes and engine builders. No jokers should be working on our cars.... I sorry for your ride. I feel for you. Good luck with her.

2 problems that you got yourself into, back yard wrenching and friends that toon(don't know how many tunes or how long they have been tooning).

Good luck getting back on your feet, unfortunately you should have taken it to a shop and got it done right the first time(which is a obvious told you so kinda thing). For all you know it could have been your mechanic not tightening a rod or bolt properly that came loose(kaboom), however, he will not warranty nothing cause you had your "friend" tooned it.

word of advise...that i have learned...have the people who build it...tune it!

find a place that does both...

or people end up pointing fingers..
