Just so it's clear, the shop you took your car to to perform a service took your car, drove it for no reason that was pertaining to the service you contracted for, and damaged you clutch. If that's correct my question is why the hell would you be paying for the clutch? Misuse of customer property and destruction of personal property isn't exactly ethical.
You don't even have to go after the shop yourself. If you put in a claim with your insurance they'll go after the shop for you.

Get the Exedy stage 2, if you really don't mind spending they money then go for the twin disk :-) It's definitely worth it. There is 2 different versions also, the HD and the SD, the SD has more of a stock feel but the clamping ability is only slightly lower than the HD.

AT least you got them for something. I don't know a thing about the clutchmaster clutch, but the fidanza seems to be a good product from everything i've seen and read. Not too heavy on the pocket either.

$700 will buy you a Competition Stage 2, 3, or 4 and a Competition flywheel with some cash to spare. I'm running the Stage 3 and flywheel on my daily-driver/autocross car and I'm very happy with it.

Maybe I'm just a violent person but I wouldn't go to court either I would just beat the clutch out of their asses. Are u kidding me? They would be buying me a new clutch and I would own that shop now. Oh a pistol whip all persons who drove the car.

Dam that sucks. I would go after them for labor rates for the install of the clutch too, not just the replacement cost.

well ya, i told them to pay for all of them, especially the one they burned was a ACT stage 3. but 700 is the most they will pay, and court is about 50 50 chance plus the court cost, so that's why i just want to take the deal.
but thanks for all of you guys' support thought. and i'm looking at the competition stage 3 or 4 right now, don't know why stage 4 is cheaper than 3.

oh, and cuz they are out of state hail repair shop, like those set up a tent. they might be gone before i can even get them served.

The Stage 3 disc uses Kevlar which is fairly expensive.

I have had many CM clutches in my old car and they never have performed well for me. I would never buy one again. Go with a exedy.
