It's an externally gated setup they just don't have a WG on there. It's what that four into one log style manifold underneath the header/DP feeds.

The one thing that was always lost on me about mulitple non sequential setups is other then easier packaging or cool marketing what is the advantage? I would think you basically have the turbos working against each other under boost. The way I see it is the pressure on the intake side of the engine is acting against the turbo that isn't on an exhaust pulse which are now at least half as frequent, a quarter in this case as they would be on a single setup.

It is kind of funny to hear a bunch of the BMW guys regurgitate BMW's marketing slogan of "Twin turbos for no lag" every time someone brings up a turbo upgrade using a single.

Those turbos remind me of the Volvo turbocharger that Hahn Racecraft used initially for their GSXR turbo kit. This system on here would definitely have to be sequential. It's like they took the concept of twin turbo and just multiplied by two. The stock turbos on the 1JZ/2JZ (T-2) aren't any bigger than the ones on this concept.

To fit the whole thing in would require lowering the engine/gearbox just for the stock hood to be able to be used (then we would have driveline geometry issues; from lowering the engine/gearbox, not the hood), or just fab up a hood with this huge bulge. It would be ugly, for sure, either way, and a lot of money, and as most people have already mentioned, what is the return on the investment?

I just don't see the benefit of this. Twincharger sequential is one thing, but quad...

As I said in the beginning, this is pointless, it has the same lag as any other Turbo setup, All turbos have lag , The best way to seguentially run turbos to reduce lag would be a smaller turbo at low rpm low boost and have the larger one come online when the exhhaust pressure is sufficient.

This is just made to look cool Another thing that was brought up was the exhaust pulses, on this setup they would need to have each turbo connected to two cylinders, the hot side to a cylinder on the exhaust stroke, and the cold side connected to a cylinder on it's intake stroke.

Nice pic it looks cool but highly impractical.

Reminds me of a dodge charger that used to run around here with a "twincharger". The funny thing was that only one was actually plumbed to run and the other was just for "show" and not connected. just made a lot of noise. It ran like **** and we used to joke that my broken bicycle was faster than it in the 1/8th.
