So please guys, help me decide!
fp red the stock turbo has no top end. i just raced a ducati and he could not leave me. he was right next to me and their was a car on myside so i had to slow down i would of probably left him if i had switched to the next gear.

Haven't swapped turbos yet but can say that meth is very nice. Of course a BBK full is in transit now. I will be enjoying bigger turbo and meth soon enough.

Are you on a Red? 440whp would be a really nice goal.

You will enjoy the car more for daily driving with the stock turbo+methanol. Torque is what make for a fun daily car and you will be giving up quite a bit in comparison to a Red on pump gas.

I would agree with this if you drive in a lot of traffic. I like driving my Red on the street just fine, but when I go somewhere where there are actually a lot of stoplights and traffic I miss my old smaller setup. Do you want max power above or below 5K rpm?

Hmm, now you guys got me thinking. I do get stuck in traffic sometimes on my way to work. I mean, I wouldn't exactly call my car a daily driver. I really only drive it on nice days. I have a beater for the crappy weather days. I love having alot of torque too...grr, decisions, decisions. I see there's an Aquamist HFS-1 kit for sale in the marketplace too. That was the kit I wanted from the getgo, and I'm like itching to jump on that...

Sounds like you want the meth kit. You won't regret it either way. Red or Meth would be a great choice.

Meth would really wake your car up if your on a budget right now. Its going to give you close or even if i had to guess well over 400 wheel.

Tune it with a little more aggressive tune with meth and your set man.

I put down 381/372 on a dynojet on my stock IX turbo and i was going to throw meth in also to get over 400. Then by the time i do the Red i had all the supporting mods.

If your on a budget = Meth
If you have the money = Red

I have to agree with this. I embarass the so called muscle cars on the street and the strip. 415/390 and soon to be higher. Sleds around here don't stand a chance.

seeing as how you have a daily driver other than the evo, i would go Meth and enjoy it....then down the road if u need more power, go with a bigger turbo

now if u didnt have another dd, id say go with the bigger turbo

imo meth is just too big of a risk for us dd guys, even with all the failsafes
