Samco intake setup for a stock Evo 8

Hey guys, okay so I've done some research on intakes and it seems that majority of the hard pipe intake setups have problems running smoothly. So I've decided to go with a soft pipe setup using the Samco induction hose. Here is what I am thinking of going with:

Samco pipe - http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ke&prodid=1633

ETS Air Filter Kit - http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/p...duct_info.html

Would there be any fitment issues going with these 2? Would I need any other connecting parts like clamps or couplers or do I reuse whatever is currently holding the stock induction tube?

I want to gain some HP but not sacrifice any idle/drivability. I'm also going to be switching to an Evo 9 Diverter Valve as well probably at the same time.

I apologize in advance if this has been asked many times before. Any input is appreciated!

i ran the samco hose on my stock setup and it worked very well, i ran it with an apexi filter setup and there is no fitment issues. its pretty much the same as the stock hose just looks better but u reuse ur stock clamps and the filter should come with the rest that u need. as far as power its nothing crazy but it will help u hear the turbo spool.

Thanks guys for the added assurance! I already ordered an ETS Air Filter kit and awaiting a quote from Oakos for the Samco hose! I have an RR so I'm going with the red version.

2.0Ldoom, mind if you post a pic?
