All 3 ACD lights on..
All 3 ACD lights on..
Amongst other problems, all 3 of my ACD lights are on (Tarmac snow etc.) along with my brake light and my battery light. I read somewhere what it may mean but have completely forgotten.
What's goin on? =(
*update*
I tried to hold down the gas pedal while it was in the on position to see what would happen.. When I do that, the battery light turns off, but I didn't see the pump moving anything. When I let go of the gas, something clicks under the hood (besides the throttle body) and then the three lights turn on and the battery light comes back on.. any ideas?

My old Evo 9 used to do this but the throttle would also hang around 3500rpms. Almost seemed like my car was malfunctioning. :/
But I think in the manual it has to do with the car being REALLY cold from what I remember.

D. ACD unit fault – 3 solid lights
When your ACD unit has all three lights on at the same time (other than at startup), this means your car is reporting back to Mitsubishi headquarters that your warranty should be voided… Just kidding. As stated in your owners manual, this denotes some kind of error in the unit and it needs to be serviced. To service the ACD you need a very special, and very expensive tool from Mitsubishi. This tool is used to engage the ACD pump to bleed the lines. You may run into this issue if you are changing out your transfercase. (6)
-Taken from the sticky in Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain section. Probably something worthwhile to read.

VIIIs and IXs equipped with an ACD can be bled by turning the ignition to the on position, opening the bleed valve on the t-case, and holding the accel. pedal until all air is removed from the lines (the ACD is activated by throttle position). Make sure to keep the ACD resevoir filled with fluid. It uses OEM Mitsubishi automatic trans fluid.

have your wheel speed sensors checked. I am assuming that only one is one when the car starts up, and after about 100 ft of driving or so then all 3 light up?
they wheels are not sending an accurate signal back, and it actually is in tarmac mode even though it says all 3. (i cannot 100% this, but i am giving my opinion from a service techs info to me)

as it states in the owner's manual, if all three lights become illuminated have it brought into mitsu. there could be a number of problems wrong. this happened to me.
did u recently replace the clutch..because if so, sometimes the acd has to be reset by mitsu or someone else who knows how.
the issue was mine was actually undetermined. mitsu was reporting a relay issue so they replaced my acd pump. the old acd taken out of my car is then sent to mitsu to take apart and diagnose.
call mitsu dealer and have them check this out, even if u r under warranty or not

Alright.. a semi update.. I just got done reading all about this issue. I'll try to do the pedal deal to make sure the pump is working right and also check the fluid levels. I wonder if this is in any relation to my previous issue with my starter..? Check out this post for more info..

wha?
I'm thinking of calling them to check it out. Its only at 45k miles but definitely modded.. so we will see what they have to say about all that..
Mine come on after a few minutes of driving, definitely not right away when I start up the car.
Where on the t case is this bleed valve? I'll try that out when I get home...

I heard the pump is several THOUSAND... do you think they would warranty it considering my car is modded like heck. =\
