Battery/Brake lights on..
Battery/Brake lights on..
Hey Guys,
So, this is issue #3 within 2 weeks.
You may have seen my last posts about my starter issues and that's all fixed up. However, when I fixed the starter, I started driving around and a few things are messed up.
I started it up last night and noticed that the three drive lights are on (tarmac snow etc) and the battery/brake lights are on.
Weird thing is, they come on.. and go off..
I started driving around today and the car died on me while driving. I believe it's due to AEM not having enough power to keep the car running and since it had been left out for a week or so while being worked on by me, it made sense that I needed to buy a charger and charge the battery.
So, I went and got a charger. Charged it all day, start the car up.. and the lights are all still on. I haven't driven it around to see if it will die on me or not, but that's for later on tonight..
I'm wondering what it may mean when all those lights come on..
And before you say so, I tried to search but couldn't come up with any answers...
Don't mind the seatbelt or door light.. I had the door open and seatbelt off.

uuuuh wtf.. I trickle charge my battery up all night.. put it in to go to autozone to test the alternator and theres no issues. The battery/brake light are not on and the 3 ACD lights don't come on.
So I go to autozone and it's not the alternator. While it was on I looked at the pump fluid and it was below minimum while running.. which means it's actually taking the fluid, so it's not a bad pump..
I'm thoroughly confused at this point..

This happened to me a couple times. It was the alternator once. Next time, it was where the wire from the alternator touches to that little fuse pack, the connection was all melted and not making good contact.
The battery+ brake light means something- I think it has to do with the charging system.
The 3 acd lights usually mean dead ACD pump. Maybe it's just not having enough power so it turns the lights on, I don't know.

threads back from the dead.. It's a wiring issue somewhere.. and I'm pretty sure its at that fuse pack.. did you end up getting a new fuse pack? If so, where?
*edit*
Just so ya'll know, my 3 acd lights were coming on when I had AEM because the car was about to die and it was just showing the primered ACD lights.. it wasn't the pump this time around (thank god).. when I charged the battery all the way up, the lights went away..

If the alternator failed, wouldn't it be completely dead and not be selectively working? I'm thinking its the wiring.. =\
