Battery/Brake Light its not the Alternator
So i was pretty sure my alternator was cooked, as the battery brake light comes on sometimes and flashes and stays on its so intermittant its not funny.
So i get to work today after battling traffic afriad my car was gunna die out so i was like this is it im doing it today, i goto to test the alternator with the battery brake light on mind you, by pulling the Ground from the battery and WTF?? the car did not die out so the alternator is keeping the engine alive. Ok next thought battery going out? Load test the battery.. it holds a load wth? volt test ok 12.6 mmmm alright.... Check wires they are all fine, connections are good, now WHAT???? other issues include a SES light that came on for a day and went away?? didnt have a chance to upll the code, also the 3 ACD light come on after about an hour of driving but the ACD works otherwise... im thinking i got Gremlins under the hood... Any thoughts here? or similar issues? and yes my brake fluid is fine, brakes are great no issues with brakes at all. I think its a messed up Voltage regulator/rectifier with a ****ty little diode making and not making contact giving me crappy readings and over charging the car, this is my only guess..

Did you check the wires that run to the alternator from the battery? I had the brake and battery light on. And the wire that runs from the battery to the alternator was lose and not making a good connection. GL
