Yeah, that's GSC's cop-out for their previously weak cam. No other company has made a statement like that. They just apologized, redesigned it, refunded etc.

OP;
if you plan on going with a Red (or other stock-frame based turbo like BBK or the new HTA green) you should spend the extra bucks and do the Exedy Twin, I run it on my 6 speed and love it. Also, with the Red you will probably want to ring it out to 8K rpm or so, so spend the extra money on upgrading the valvesprings/retainers while the head is off the car. If you get the cams now and the chaper clutch you may regret it. Invest in clutch for now (if its about to go) because I killed mine VERY shortly after upgrading my cams/ported intake and exhaust mani/02 housing +retune... the extra power killed it quick. For cam choice definitely do a 272/272, either Kelford/Cosworth/FP, when I got mine I got Cosworth (the other 2 options were not available at the time) and have NO regrets, major difference in power and I upgraded the valvetrain at the same time. Take your time, save up, do it right so you don't have to do it over down the road. GL
