Is the Power FC difficult to install or simply a harness plug and play
Plug and play, very easy. The ECU box is slightly bigger than the stock ECU and is not designed to use the stock mounting bracket. They provide velcro tape to hold it in position, I will probably fabricate some sort of bracket, should be very easy.

Any major gain by getting the D-Jetro version?? D-Jetro will require some installation work to remove and replace the stock MAF sensor only right?
You need to install a new MAP sensor and adapt the intake pipe to remove the MAF sensor. In theory this version could make more power, but IMO would only be really beneficial if your planning to make an over 500HP (drag car). You could also utilize a larger MAF with the standard system, that could could eliminate any power benefits you might get with the D-Jetro system.

The D-jetro system does allow you greater flexibility with your turbo intake (which is nice) but many people seem to be making plenty of power sucking through the stock MAF system so....

MAF systems allow you a much more precise control over your air/fuel mixture, I find this far more desirable when running closer to the edge. IMO for an all out drag race car, the D-jetro version would probably be better, for road race/street cars I would recommend the standard MAF version.

My experience with MAF on tuned cars, especially tuned Mitsu's is vastly different - MAP sensor is the way to go. It is quite easy to induce MAF overrrun (where the MAF stops counting Karman and just hits its peak) even after porting and a large exhaust. While the MAF is a bit more accurate, it is also a huge restriction and does not allow for the control that a MAP based system does. I could not be more hoenst when I tell you that the VPC, which also converts you to a MAP (but sadly not offered anymore) was the single best mod I ever did to my GVR4.

I agree... but wished the display was in color...only gripe I can find.

I think you need to qualify "tunned", the EVO MAF seems to have a pretty wide range, perhaps much better than the earlier DSM's your referring to. So far we are pushing over 300WHP and the MAF sensor is no near it's measurement limit.
It's not just the improved accuracy, it's the greater consistancey that attracts me to the MAF system. I mean let's face it, MAF is certainly not cheaper than speed density, yet every new vehicle I can think of uses it, that should tell you something.

Each type of system has it's pro's and con's, a properly designed relatively mild build up will have more accurate and consistent fuel/ign control with the MAF. If your going wild use the speed density and then carefully monitor and tune your engine parameter's.
Rather than getting into a long drawn out disscusion, both type's will be used and tested in these cars very soon (it's already happening), at various states of tune. Why not let the result's speak for themselves?
