I think anything would start better than an AEM wouldn't it? AEM startup is like a bad joke.

The question is does it have stock like startup and idle?

I've come to accept from the threads on this board that the reason COP/CDI systems are so popular is because AEM has crap coil/ignition settings. I've run 42 psi on VP Import with stock coils and Autronic.

AEM appears to me to obviously be a lame system. From the little tinkering I did within it's software I was not impressed. Sure it can make great power. But I don't believe AEM tuners would choose it if they tried other competing systems.

Case in point Al @ Dynoflash I don't believe rates the AEM highly.

i can guarantee you like stock startup in cold, warm condition, idle and idle with a/c ,mixture is running in the 14a/f range off boost without using the close loop, anyway, most cars i tune have like stock startup and idle except the AEM startup,is our responsability in the tuning.i have 11 years doing this.for the money, its a standalone hard to beat that holds with the overpriced systems

Thats great to hear Mandy. We're very proud of the new Platinum series of ECU's, people are definitely raving about the new software package and the performance that can be obtained. Tuning is now more fun and easy with Haltechs than ever before. Start up is a snap with the PnP base maps, and you are well on your way much much quicker.

We're currently working on a whole host of new products for the upcoming year and we promise they will certainly impress!

Keep the feedback coming! It all makes a difference!
