evo 8 cams evo 6 head....problem?

Hi Guys, i'm hoping this wont be an issue when it comes time to install my kelfords. I bought a set that are for the evo 8. I was told that they wouldwork fine but now i am hearing the opposite. if they are not a direct fit what is needed to install these into my evo 6.

Won't work. Sell them and buy ones that are made for your model year. Good luck.

ah, i found a way to use em. i need to either swap out my cam angle sensor housing for an evo 8's or use the bolt for the evo 8s n drill my housing out. anyone know where i can get a housing from cuz that would be the easiest to do.

You should probably hit up some of the international boards as the 2003 Evo VIII is the oldest Evo we got here. I'm guessing the issure you are having is akin to what 97+ DSMs have to do in drilling the intake cam to accept the cam angle sensor.

sorry guys let me jump in .. IT DOES WORK

we had an evo 6 before so .. u can use evo 8 cams ..YES

ALL U WILL need to do is get the bolt changed to the cam either by having it machined to a small size so u can get the tool in to tighten it , or get an evo 8 bolt wich in diameter will work if u want pm me and i can walk u thru it ...
