Question....If there is way too much oil in the car...would that cause oil to leak out of the oil pan gasket....if it would...then thats my oil leak. oil on my dipstick is like 2in above the 2nd notch

well..i think i may have found the cause of the leak....someone give insight, so i checked underneath my car, oil is dripping out of the oil pan seal...everytime i check the dipstick the oil is hovering like 2 in above the 2nd notch....this troubled me, so i whipped out the owners manual....oh the f'in oil is way to high, its supopsed to be between those 2 damn notches, so im guess thats why there is oil comin outta my oil pan, anyone agree/ disagree???

if the oil level is to high, it would not come out of the oil pan gasket unless you blew it.

oil doesnt just come out of the pan the pan is completly sealed,,, it would mess up the engine before it did that.

get under there with some degreaser and wash everything and watch for the leak

well then is very posible that it is leaking thrue the pan gasket.

like i said before, the pictures you posted by looking at them it seems like the head of the bolts were messed up ( stripped )

you can go ahead and torque the pan, the bolts are 10MM socket, here on evom they have the torque specs for that, make sure all the bolts are tight,,, and when you torque the pan i would do them in a criss cross pattern,, this will keep the pan in a flat plane and not warpped.

if the oil is too full...wont that cause too much pressure and thus blow the gasket? the bolts arent stripped, the sealant around them made it look like it was stripped

i dont think you can get it at those places, get you an OEM and some high temp RTV.

it is very simple to change, make sure thats your problem before you go and change that.

like i said before, get your self some degreaser, and clean your car underneath, this will help you reveal where the leak is comming from, right now there is to much junk up in there to even know if its comming from the pan

does it leak when the car isnt even running? If so then it is most likely the oil pan. I used toyota silicon gasket to replace mine but its pretty pricey. You can buy some silicone from pep boys or autozone if you like.

If it only leaks when its running I would check other things. Check the timing tensioner bolts, the oil return line from the turbo. The oil cooler lines. and the valve cover gasket.
