oil leaks

Ok, so on my quest to finish my car, finished everything except for the oil leaks, is there any way to check for oil leaks besides looking what the puddles are under?? I simply cannot pinpoint where this oil is coming from, I am pretty sure its not engine oil, becuase the level hasn't gone down and i have already lost at least a pint judging by the puddle on my garage floor..pretty sure its from the tranny or from the oil pan...

if it was the oil pan, then it is engine oil.

What color is the oil? what part of the undercarriage of the car was directly above the puddle?

It could be engine oil; transfer case oil; diff oil...

you need to look at the color of the oil first...if it is engine oil then check oil pan, oil filter housing, oil return line and the feel line.....clean everything with break cleaner then start looking for the leaks..

question, the plate covering the flywheel/ clutch assembly is missing...you can kinda see that in the 3rd pic, would this cause my terrible oil leak?....or at least one of them...
