Call FP and ask them. You might offer to send the turbo in to them for a check, so they'll know whether the turbo is in good condition or already fubar'd.

If it's in good shape, it would be a one day inspection/turnaround. If it's not, you just saved yourself a major turbo loss, and an much more expensive rebuild.

Im wondering the same thing. I do have adaptors to fit my sensors to the oil filter housing so maybe that answers my question. It will probably fit

Tip for cranking the engine over without spark or fuel

Thanks to this thread, I'm making sure my FP red comes with the gen2 install kit.

Here's a tip for cranking the engine without spark or fuel. Make a $3 copy of your key. It will trigger the immobilizer and you can crank the engine to build oil pressure. I keep one in my tool box for oil changes.

Lancerdealer posted this awhile back:
When the immobilizer has been activated the ICU does not read the key and it tells the PCM to disable the ignition and the injectors.

When you crank the engine with no spark, you can flood the cylinders with fuel, which is a bad thing. There is a sensor that you can disconnect toward the back passenger corner of the valve cover that will kill fuel and spark. It's what the factory service manual recommends for doing compression tests. However, I've also read on here from reputable sources that the 4G63 is no small block chevy and that method of priming the oiling system doesn't work very well.

That's an interesting statement ... I think that I might look into that topic a bit more. It'd be good to know for certain.
