Mivec oil feed line. Alternative oil pressure source.

Hi mates. I'm fitting mivec head on evo8 block and thinking about alternative oil source. I've read a few threads about tapping the oil sensor hole on the back of the block, feeding mivec from oil filter housing etc...

But I am running FP turbo and FP oil feed line, so my stock turbo oil feed port on the head is not used and just blocked. Can I use this stock turbo oil feed port on the head to feed mivec?

No, you need high pressure/volume oil for the MIVEC gear. The turbo feed at the head is not that. You need to use a port on the oil filter housing, or tap into the main oil galley...

Oil Filter Housing Bung would work wouldn't it?
Same as the FP oil feed line position.

There are two bungs AFAIK. One is used for FP line. Can I use the another one? Will it run fine without stock banjo bolt checkvalve?

I'm planningoing to do a bolt on turbo kit on my 4b12

Can you use an adapter where you can screw in where oil filter is?I've seen kits on ebay but I think you can find better.basically it's a block that fits onto where your filter is,it has two, male fittings for female oil line connecters and you can put in a 4612 filter like there isn't any problem. I thought this might be helpful, also, the Kit I'm talking about comes with an oil cooler which I thought would be useful if your turbo charging an n/a 4b11 or 17?

I decided to make a 3-port adapter - male 1\8npt + female m12x1.25 + female 1\8npt. That will make it possible to feed mivec and retain oil sensor in the same place, without tapping the block.
