Stick with the 5 spd it's technically stronger.

And you will need to find a 6 speed shifter and shifter cables. ( i think that is it...)

yes the 5spd is stronger the 6spd is more for daily driving so tour not on hi rpm at low speeds and its more of a hassle when your suck in traffic like bumper to bumper

Then i would just stick with the 6 speed if thats all your doing. Anyway the 6 speed is stronger 1st to 3rd and the 5speed is stronger 4th to 5th. So either way if you want a solid trans you have to build the 5speed or the 6speed. Both have weak points so just do what you want .

But you'll need more than just the 6 speed tranny to complete the swap, keep that in mind.

I definitely think you will catch the mod bug and further your modifications after you get used to the power. I said the same thing and am now addicted to adding more and more parts,

Something to think about...

I like my 6 speed a lot, especially I like to do top speed run this is where the 6 speed shine, the extra gear helps re-acceleration on the higher speed. I've heard lots of bad review on 6 sp but there are a lot 5 speed tranny problems out there as well. For $1500 you are getting a built 6 sp tranny and installation I think it's not a bad deal. I've got over 64k on my 6 sp tranny and I do race people a lot, and there are many others here w/ over 100k on their 6 sp.
