is there any fluid in the reservoir?

I still agree with the IC sprayer being useless but as long as the water is evaporating it should be removing some heat. If it isn't it is just insulating the hot IC.

I've never seen the dash light on my '03 be anything but on, and that with a green icon so dim I have to take my sunglasses off to see it. Also, my IC sprayer works with the car stationary in manual mode.

it is not useless. evos are not drag cars they are rally cars. For a drag car it may be useless. A run takes way too little time to heat soake a properly sized intercooler. The same is not true for a rally or road race.
