wiped out maf and now car doesnt run right until wot????

wiped out maf and now car doesnt run right until wot????

All i did was clean out my intake and the maf there was a little grime in there so ALL i did was wipe it with a rag. Now my car doesnt idle right or run right until like 4 grand when the wastegate opens. any clues? Its obviously hooked up correctly just a few clamps and its plugged back in fine

you physically touched the maf circuits? You probably screwed it up.

I just wiped out the inside where the u shaped wire hangs down. if that is touched could that effect it? Its plugged in to

i guess you could try to clean off anything you might have gotten on there with some good maf cleaner. otherwise it might be time to pick up a new one

Spray it with some MAF cleaner and see if it works, check the wires for open/short circuits. Make sure the maf housing isnt rubbing/bumping into anything else in the engine.

how does the car run with the maf plug disconnected? Did you use CRC maf sensor cleaner on the maf or throttle body cleaner?

I used a cleaner and it did nothing still. Im getting the codes Po113 and P0107 so idk why I wasnt getting those at all before then now getting them after cleaning the maf? weird to me but thats all I have so far
