A Man, An Evo & 3grand

Lets see, I should be getting my transfer case back some time in the next week and once that's in, along with my brakes and other odds and ends done on it, it should be ready to go. I'd really like to get more motor in it but don't have any idea what it's gonna cost. Heres my setup right now, 03 evo 8 48k miles, act stage 2 clutch, 3inch downpipe all the way back w/test pipe intake and greddy rs bov, the car also is untuned I believe (bought it this way) and i'd like at LEAST 150/100 hp/tq out of it.

If I have $3000 to get parts and a tune for it what kind of power numbers can I have? Any chance I can turn 450-500whp using E85?
I plan on buying a hallman MBC for 100$ and 1000cc injectors for $400 to start with, and wouldn't mind an ebay intercooler if there not absolute garbage (I don't want to spend a fortune on top of the line parts but don't want uber ****)

I looked at the FP red for $1800 plus the 200$ evo 8 install kit and that seems like a good option.

Thanks guys, I know you Evom guys know your ****!
Espically with all these people I see with 550whp stock block turbo and cams

Intercooler- check
Injectors - check
MBC - check
Already have full exhaust and intake

Intercooler pipes? What's the deal with that, do they break?

CBRD in PA, AMS in IL or Buschur and Pure Tuning in Ohio... take your car there and have fun!

FP red would be a great choice. The guy who had my car before me put an ebay intercooler on it (xs power) after he hit a deer, and it seems to work fine. That would be a good way to save some money.

I say go with the simple mods ( Injectors, Pump, Hardpipes, ETS FMIC core, Turbo) All could be had for right around 3g's.

You could go with a BBK or FP Red. We will be releasing a turbo here shortly that has brought us 491whp on a EVO 8 setup with BC cams and bolt-ons w/ e85. I'll have more info on this, but either way the power can be had!

You may need more than 1000cc injectors if you're planning on E85. I'd bet that 1200s would be enough. I've got 1000s on my car and it makes 540tq/460hp, but if you've got a more 'normal' powerband with more HP than TQ, larger injectors will be needed.

I agree something like a set of Fuel Injector Clinic Bluemax 1250's or PTE 1200's should do the trick!

Thanks for the info guys, good to hear it is possible. I was thinking about getting the cobb accessport but I decided all I need is one good tune so that saves me a boat load of money.
Also do I need different fuel lines for the E85?

I rather would buy used buchur or AMS i/c, than ebay one... you need 1200 for E85 as far fuel lines, not really.
