i got my stuff from ExtremePsi
I checked thru Mistuparts and they said free shipping and then tried to tack on $60 at the end for shipping.
I dont think all the stuff is ness, but I got Greddy belts and all the tensioners and pulleys and stuff for like $420 maybe. Just didnt get the water pump. I dont see why a waterpump would take a dump at 60k.

The point of the 60k service is so that it doesnt take a dump. It's recommended in the 60k service, because the next time you're going to have all the timing stuff off (needed to replace water pump) is 120k, if it even lasts that long.

The reasoning behind it is that the water pump cost vs an engine cost is not a nice comparison. Especially not since you do it every 60k.

I'm in the middle of collecting the parts now and there's no two ways about it, the 60K service, if done right, is expensive.

On the cooling system there's eight coolant hoses to replace, water pump, pressure cap, thermostat and antifreeze.

For lubricants there's engine oil and filter, plus replacing the transmission, transfer case and rear differential oils.

The timing belt job requires two timing belts, a tensioner and a new accessory belt. I also have three new pulleys.

For ignition, new plugs and probably a good time for new wires and boots.

Finally, there is a thorough (I mean exhaustive) inspection job of all the other car components. You'll probably find a couple of more things that need replacement while doing this. This is the time to fix any leaks.

This should get you another 60,000 miles of trouble free driving.

Why would an Evo only get 60k or even a tad more what you are saying on the water pump?
Are the water pumps weak?
Have you seen a blown motor due to water pump failure?

I've had gone over 120k on my oem water pump before it started to show any signs of leakage or ware... but thats is on my se-r. I didnt replace my WP on the evo. I figured I could wait until I just did the timing belts which I also ordered through extremepsi, I went with the power extreme. They are all the same, except the gates performance is cheaper since it come free with the secondary belt. uh god i need to go home...

My car is around 55k right now and the water pump is ****ting the bed I believe. I have been having over heating issues in traffic and stops. I have replaced the radiator cap, thermostat, and head gasket along with installing studs and still have a over heating problem.

So I parked the car and waiting till I get my water pump and all stuff for a 60k maintenance. So yes they do **** the bed.

I drive my car everyday and Im not easy with it by any means so it all depends on how you drive.

are you losing coolant?
I just talked to mitsu and they said they dont even advise time intervals for pumps. they said they check for leaks when doing the timing belt and thats it.
