weird clicking sound at idle, help!

weird clicking sound at idle, help!

i just notice this weird clicking or ticking sound at idle, but the strange thing is that when i step on the clutch the sound got quieter. someone told me it normal.. ioono about that. anyone can help?

yeh it right when you start the car, doesn't matter if it cold start or hot. but it go away with clutch push in, people telling me it the throwout bearing and it normal, but im not sure

can you feel any vibration in the car when the noise is being made?

May very well be the good old Evo clutch chatter. I've seen a few that have it.

Got a simalar sound under 1k idle but coming from cams or something

yeh i doubt mine is a cam issue, it go away when i push in the clutch

its clutch chatter... almost ALL clutches do that, just depends on what degree... its annoying, but nothing more, my stock clutch did it like a ****... just do yourself a favor and listen to a triple disc clutch and you'll feel a WHOLE lot better about the chatter you have

its only a a TOB issue if you press the clutch and it makes the noise.. not when its engaged. when i start my car there is a clicking sound as well..

its your throw out bearing. Both my audi and evo do it, it's nothing to worry about.
