dude, that is all wrong! why the **** is that connected to the valve cover???? wowee
that is bad!
that is bad!
I want to know that too. My cousin told me the valve cover tube has to connect to the intake but it's not even on the diagram on the hood!

There is none! Yes, I got this car without one and I don't know why. All I can find were the plastic ends inside the tube where it used to be. I think the solenoid broke off or something which is why I don't have one, yet, it works. Doesn't boost to 30 anymore.Originally Posted by idriveanevo

u need to sell ur evo before u turn it in to a paper weight..
why would there be ANY source of boost/vac in the valve cover?!
really -- who the helllll are you gettin info from? god - punch them in the mouth.
it goes --- INTAKE MANIFOLD---> T fitting - (One to boost controller and then to wastegate) and the other to BOV.

I think you need to find a shop (or even dealership at this point) that knows what they're doing with a 4G63. You're risking doing serious damage to your engine by toying around with things you do not understand. If you aren't mechanically inclined or do not understand forced induction engines - take it to a shop. If you can't afford a shop, you obviously can't afford the car. Just my 2 cents.

Diagram shows that the bypass valve should be connected to the intake manifold and not the lines that lead from the wastegate and intake. Where would I hook up a line to the bypass valve when there's only one hole for a line and that hole is already taken?Originally Posted by xRoguex

As to why the valve cover was t-lined to the intake in the first place, IDK. As I said before, I got the car like this and we decided to hook it up like what it was before. Where should it be hooked up then if not an intake? Just leave it open and be done with it?

Wow, that is def not right.
Another thing I noted was the excessive length of hosing being used. You better fix that. That is set up beyond wrong.

i suggest getting an mbc if you will not get a tune asap and just set it to 19-20psi. for now get a small hose and plug one end to the turbo nipple and the other end to the wastegate. that should give you around 12 psi until you get a boost controller. the big hose on the valve cover should go to the intake pipe that is connected to the turbo. there should be another small nipple in the intake pipe which you should cover, you could use the red plug that is on the picture for that. when you get the mbc it should be in between the turbo nipple and the wastegate.
