guys please tell me . can an evo8 head and evo8 internals fit inside a evo6 block . i have a empty evo6 block but everything else is evo8's . clutch , pistons , rods . crank is also evo6 .. head is evo8 etc . car is also evo8 .. and will the evo6 block be the same as an evo8's in respect to powerholding capcity on stock sleeves etc

 

i dont think so?! isnt the vi a 6 bolt where as the viii is a 7 bolt engine but dont quote me on that..

 

i think the 6 bolt motor stopped in 1992. the 6 bolt had better rods on the flywheel and the 7 bolt had lighter but not as durable. The 7 bolt had the crank walk not the six but that has nothing to do with how many bolts it had. it was actually chrysler who couldnt machine and balance a crank is what i have been told... (most likely why they filed for bankruptcy) But our engines are a 7 bolt also but a lot of differences.

Well onto the real topic i think you can do it because from what I find online it sounds like it will work. but you might want to see if some of the total gurus on here can tell more.

 

Yes evo 6 motor is 100% compatible with evo 8 parts, all evo's since the 4 are compatible :-)

yep pretty sure they are! Easily handle 1000hp
