I wrecked my bottom end,but my head is still fine.
Someone locally is selling a EVO 8 block,what would be the benefits of running a EVO 8 block with the EVO 5 block.
Would there be any issues?

p.s In Canada its a little hard to find the 4G63 motors,and the ones you find are 2000$(150k+) to 3500$ (80-100k)

 

I believe any Evo 4-8 block will work. Maybe call English Racing to confirm and see if they can source a good condition short block for you.

 

Based on what Ive read on the MLR forum, the head no.s are the same

I have an 8 block with a 4 head. No problems. I have an E8 flywheel and clutch though, I think you do need the 7-9 flywheel. Don't quote me on that though.
