clean the tb and hose then spray some hairspray in the hose where it contacts the tb and reassemble. GL

t bolts are not needed, but def help.
what pipes you have? I realized with my Injen that the upper pipe needed to be settled a certain way or it would pop off

I generally use carb cleaner on throttle body and also on a clean rag and wipe out the inside of upper I/C hose really good. Then wipe one last time with carb cleaner soaked rag and quickly install hose to T/B. Wait a few minutes then tighten clamp. Once the carb cleaner evaporates it turns your hose into a very tacky rubber and should hold very well. Every one that I have tried this method on has held up,all the way to 35 psi.

You ought to post a picture if you can, that sounds interesting.

I'm always half ways waiting for that pop and power loss at WOT

hasn't happened since I wedged that battery (OEM) into it a little, but I'd still like to see your set up.

very smart man!!!!!!

Anywho, a properly built charge pipe setup wont ever blow off. Like I siad, with a 2 piece setup like the Injen, if there is any kind of slight bind or anything you risk this happening.
Any custom ones I had done, I did the turbo side in one piece and the intake side in one piece and use the cheap @$$ $1 clamps and never once had one blow off.

Make sure the couplers are not greezy though too as stated above.

The hairspray works just fine.

Carb cleaner making the rubber tacky...cause its dissolving the rubber and breaking it down. Sure it may work, but I wouldnt do this to my car.

Also make sure to loosen all the clamps on the pipes and align them properly so there is no stress on the pipes. If they want to pull in any wierd direction before tightening they arent aligned properly. Once aligned properly get some good quality clamps and use a 1/4 in rachet with proper sized socket to tighten them. DO NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER! Then you will have no problems.
