With 70K on my 2003 it's about time to change the clutch.

I've been looking for something with stock pedal effort and little/no noise/chatter.

I've been reading about the SPEC Super Twin Clutch and am considering the SS trim, but the SPEC site only shows it being applicable to 2004 onwards, i.e. "Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII/IX 2004-2007 2.0L 5sp". Why would it not be suitable for the 2003 if it's suitable for the "GSR" 2004? If it's the open front diff they're cautious about I would have expected the non-RS 2004s to be excluded as well.

I did request clarification from them, but I'm curious if someone on here knows if it's suitable for 03s or not.

It's fine for the 03s. There is no difference between the 03 and 04 engine or transmission.

works fine. I've got about 3500 on mine so far, it gets better every day.
