whats your point? having stock evo turbo components doesn't make the car comparable to an actual evo. nice drum brakes tho

Haha wow your pretty funny how I could flame you so... but I wont, MOST of the people on here have been very helpful and not been a douche. However I never implied my car was anything like an evo just that I my car will be much different than any other stock base lancer. Anyone can buy a car already fast, not too blow evos I would love to buy an evo if I could afford one but since I cant I am making the car that I have fast enough for me. The experience and knowledge I am gaining from this experience of building my own custom turbo kit is immeasurable. Anyone can also buy a kit and bolt it on. It takes alot of time patience and determination to do this build and would apprieciate not to dragged down because I am not driving an evo!!! To those who have Contributed to this thread thank you very much you have helped me get one step closer to my build to those who have nothing better to do than nit pick at the little things.... blow me

No where in there does it say my car is an evo or better, just that I will have a pretty quick car almost as fast as an evo for 6k just used the evo as an example of speed What does a stock evo 8 put to the wheels? prolly 240 250?

I really didn't want to get ivolved in this argument. I don't like to bash peoples cars, and I'm not going to bash yours, however, I will say that what makes an Evolution a great car has almost nothing to do with the power.

For less than 10k, you could buy a 90's Civic hatchback, and put in a motor with a turbo kit that would roast a stock Evo in a straight line. However, for 10k, I highly doubt you could put together a Civic hatchback that could compete with an Evolutions lap times on a road course. By design, an Evolution is basically a detuned, road-going rally car. By design, a Lancer/Lancer Cedia is an economy sedan.

Furthermore, while you MAY be able to keep up with a stock Evolution, at 220whp I would expect the 4G94 is reaching the limits of reliability. In other words, your potential would be pretty much tapped out, unless they make aftermarket forged internals for those engines. While a stock VIII may put down 260whp stock, it can potentially increase that with the right parts by over 400%.

Again, not bashing your car, different people can afford and enjoy different things, but I'm just trying to state some facts here.

Thank you I did go with the megan then right after that they brought back the manifold I was going to buy in the beginning so now I have to sell this one to buy the other oh well... and aschold is 100% correct my engine reliability ends after about 230 to 250 whp. My plan after this is to buy a 4G69 engine and tear it down while I am having fun with my car and put in forged internals and do some head work and use 90% of the turbo system I have and transfer it over to the new engine, I imagine I will start to run into some serious traction issues though. While they do make forged internals for my engine I dont think I am going to go that route. There is a dude who has forged internals and a built head 4G94 running a 16g @ 19psi putting 339 whp down and is getting ready to bump it up to 400 with some changes

Well to finish it the way I wanna finish it I still need: forge 5-10 psi spring, head gasket, water pump, timing belt (wanna change all this to be sure it wont fail) 3" evo downpipe, 3" custom straight pipe exhaust with Magnaflow muffler, Boost gauge, Wideband, slim fan, stage 2 or 3 clutch probably a clutchmasters, oil feed and return lines, oil sandwich adapter. I believe thats it, I know it seems like alot but I have gotten most of the high ticket stuff out of the way, most of these are $50 or less each except like the clutch wideband and exhaust setup. Hoping by the end of the year I will have it all done and in.

sounds like my plan Dude, most of my stuff come from an Evo too. but do you get the stock evo downpipe or an aftermarket one like invidia?! so youre gonna run like 10psi , its safe on stock internals right?
what if you keep the stock clutch? thats what ill do cause i aint gonna race.
oh and how much you paid for your turbo?

Even without racing your stock clutch isnt gonna last very long, I am going to change it out just because I will have to do it anyways soon after if I dont. As Senate has stated before its not the amount of boost but the power you produce at that boost level, our motors have proven to handle 230 to 250 daily driven of HP on a very good tune. Now whether you get that at 10psi or 14psi all depends how your car is setup. I will be using an aftermarket 3" dp from an evo and got my turbo 9.8 HS with 13k miles for $200 shipped, how is your build coming along cedes?

so might has well get a new clutch, you said you were getting a stage 3?
okay yeah i believe the power we can handle, yeah actually its the tuning helping it, are you getting Ecuflash?! thats cool! itll probably be better having and afrermarket dp. oh so you got the 9.8 , i was thinking about the 10.5. good price for yours tho! well everything is listed its just that i was waiting for a good manni but finally gonna get it from that dude with the boostedlancer , thats his name anyway. So now its time to order the stuff but finding the Speedcorps site and realising they had set up a custom turbo kit really help everything out! im relying on it and getting my ideas there.
