02 housing which one for 06 mr ?

Okay so I have searched high and low and have read a number of post, However I am still not sure which brand 02 housing to use on my 06 mr , as well as where to buy them. I want one that is going to be functional with my AMS TBE as well as one that is going to last and not be an issue as far as dependability.

any help would be awesome.\

ps: the ams TBE is the bomb !

there are a couple of choices. you have to decide if you want an o2 dump or the standard recirculating. for o2 dumps there is a new shearer or you could get maperformance.

i already have the standard br ss o2 housing but if i have to do it all over again i'd get the o2 dump.

Well you have cast O2 housings and welded SS ones.
Like someone else mentioned you also have recirculated and dump ones.

From what I've seen, it appears that most SS O2 housings are the same just badged differently by different companies.

I have the Megan Racing one (same one AMS sells). It's a nice piece but I cleaned it up a little where the wastegate flow meets the turbine gases (hope that makes sense). But then again I'm **** when it comes to parts and things being perfect.

Good luck in your hunt.

Where you hear that??? Nothing sh!ttychrome is considered the best considering its an inferior knockoff. Go hold a Titek in your hand first. How about Shearer of JMFab? That chinese junk is not the best...I suppose the AMS knockoff fmic is better than the real one too.

They're all pretty much the same. Just get a Megan. They're the cheapest to come by and they're proven to work. Plus no hassle with installation like some of the O2 dumps.

Any thoughts on the Invidia (which is a full 3" housing) compared to the EPM O2 dumps which are 3" but taper back down to 2.5" where they join to the down pipe??
Does this taper restrict flow or power at all?

I have the Megan Racing O2 housing as well, and I cleaned up the wastegate side to help prevent boost creep. There are a lot of people running them, and they do the job, especially for just around $120 shipped (got mine from MAPerformance).

Fits: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8, 9

Tech Tip: This o2 housing is approx. 2.9". The other o2 housings such as the megan racing, Authority, and DNP are only approx. 2.3"

Part # HS03ML8TOL

Details

(Regular Pricing $319.99)
Price: $238.95 (Sale Pricing)

thats from lancershop.com but i bet you could get it cheaper at maperformance.com if you call up and talk to Chris.

I heard from my buddy who is a tuner that TiTek is better then all others. But isn't Works an actually 3"? Personally I think they are all the same. I have a Helix and it was 2.5" I thought it worked fine but I upgraded to an o2 Dump for the FP red
