timing belt ?

Is a lancer timing belt the same as a evolution. The reason I am asking is I put in a stock lancer timing belt on my evo and not one that is for a evolution. I have notice that my timing never stay on the timing marks.

I'm pretty sure they don't even have a DOHC cam for the normal lancer, I wouldn't think one of those belts would even fit your Evo.

Definitely a different belt. Aftermarket P/N for Lancer 4G94 belt is T201. The EVO 4G63 belt is T167 IIRC.

you put a belt on without confirming that it would work? ... maybe you should trade it in for a lancer because their are specific belt sizes for each car, and there are no 4g63 lancers soo.... there you have it.

Not the same. And not good for the engine.
