2004 Lancer ES timing belt replacement
Hey Guys,
Well, my Lancer just hit 60000 miles and its time for the timing belt replacement, I went to local dealership and they quoted me $459 (+tax) which included $389 for belt replacement and $70 to adjust the timing belt tensioner (which if you ask me should be already included in price of replacing the freaking timing belt, but then again, what else to expect from a dealership, always looking for way to make an extra buck). My question is this, is $459 a decent price for replacing a timing belt in a 2004 Lancer ES? I live in central New Jersey, can anyone recommend a reputable 3rd party shop? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Do you trust that dealer, if so have them do it right. I seen to many people try to save couple bucks and have the t-belt done somewhere else, they end up bring it back to the dealer to
have it fix right. GL.
