The 05 VIII's and Evo IX's have the 10.5 cm hotside its good for alittle more top end power. I had an 04 VIII with a 9.8 and I swap to a 10.5 with other mods to give my car amore flow up top. It still spools the same with more up top power.

I just realized your were talking about your stang. In that case 9.8 might help spool the stang slightly faster but, not by that much. Although with 10.5 you can get more flow to add an additional hp up top where the 9.8 will become restrictive

10.5 will allow more volume at higher rpm so more HP. The 9.8 will just spool the turbine quicker and might have a little more torque. 9.8 will have more backpressure beyond peak VE

interesting guys
but then the 9.8 might be better then the 10.5 for a simple lancer right?! depending at how it spins, but if it spins more does it means it creates more heat so then the 10.5 would be better according to that?!

thats awesome so actually the evo 8 stock turbo gets the boost quicker but like ya all said the evo 9 one gets it all top end. kinda hard to decide which one tho, but some might pick the 10.5 cause its only more new

still kinda think and research
