Last time I talked to them about their kits, they didnt have 92mm crank with 156mm rod setup for the 4g63. Thats something I would prefer myself because you can rev more safely than a 100mm stroke.

Is anyone using the GSC 2.2L?

What do you think of it?

Cp pistons 500$
standard lengnth rod of choice
Eagle 94mm crank 700$

KISS= keep it simple simon
I was going to go with a 94mm Eagle Crank, but they are 37lbs...
Fat pigs compared to your Stock Evo 2.0L crank at 30lbs.
Now I'm gonna come up with the cash for the K1 94mm crank.

Waste of money. You wont feel the difference in 7 pounds. Crank is too close to center line to have any affect on a little added weight. If you had a dyno accurate enough it would make maybe 1/10 HP removing 7 pounds from crank.

We have pieced kits together before, and we can certainly do it again Whether you decide to go with the Eagle or K1 crank we should be able to source you a kit at the lowest pricing around In regards to the possibility of part X not working with part Y it would extremely hard for something like that to occur as the only changes here are the stroke and rod length with the only modification being made to the wristpin location on the piston, easy as pie

Chris, I'll be hitting you up then.
Eagle 94mm Crank
K1 150mm Billet H-Beams
CP Pistons with the wrist pin moved up only 3mm for use with the 94mm stroke crank.

I'm bumping this back up. I see there's really three ways to do a 2.2 in a 63:

Option 1 Custom Rods: 94mm crank, 153mm rods, stroker piston(made for the 2.3)

Option 2 2.2L Regular: 94mm crank, standard length rods- 150mm/ Manley or cp 2.2 Pistons

Option 3 2.2 Long Rod: 94mm crank, Manley Rods 156mm, CP or Manley Pistons

For option 3, what pistons are used? And on option 2, is the wristpin moved up how many mm's? I'm trying to wrapmy head around the different ooptions

Also, does anyone know the different rod ratios for each of these setups?

Any info you have on a 2.2l in a 4g63? Specifically the rod ratio of different setups?

Ahh sorry about that, didnt notice the chart doesnt list the 63 2.2L.

Ive read before its about 1.66 rod ratio. I believe that is with the GSC 2.2L stroker kit. Their rods are custom spec, so youll need to call em to verify length.

English Racing puts together an awesome 2.2 4g63. 153mm R&R rods with wiseco 1400 piston's. I went with 94mm k1 crank. 1.63 ratio and you can get pretty much any compression buold you want.

Yeah their kit is what made me start looking at 2.2's. I want to know the differences between the setups above, and I'm not smart enough to figure it out lol just seeing if anyone else has been down this road. Im about to lull the trigger on a 2.0 build but if I can figure this out and it won't be much more I may wait for this.
