I had bought the RMR piping kit about four years ago and it worked well. Now with a few different mods I ended up with a Frankenstein intercooler pipe system that is half custom made and half rmr. ETS was not available when I was looking to buy but I have their intercooler and it is very nice.

ETS for sure! Their customer service is second to none, plus I've never had a pipe blow off, even at 30 psi.

Sounds like ETS is the front runner right now! I'm looking to get the kit within the next month. I'll need to get a tune once i've installed it, right? That is to get the most gains out of it, right?

How does it run if I don't tune it yet? Will it cause any major problems?

No, you will not have any problems without tuning. I ran mine a few months before any tuning was doen, and it was because of other parts and not the i/c.

Same here. I ran the pipes and IC for a few months with no tune and didn't have a problem. Without a tune, you won't get the real benefit of the parts, but you won't hurt anything either.

The problem with Injen is the lower pipe reduces down to 1.8" / 2.0" - So you will be loosing out on flow and throttle response.

The reason we use stainless over aluminum is so you can tighten the t-bolt clamp as tight as possible without crushing the pipe. Once an aluminum pipe is oval it's hard to keep the coupler on. The stainless ensures that when you tighten the clamp, its not coming off!

Thanks,

Michael

ETS 2 questions for you. 1) How much more does the matte black option make the short route UICP/LICP and 2) even though I haven't seeen anything on their web site I know I read about CBRD making an IC...will your pipe kit work with that IC without fitment issues.

$20.000 for the flat black coating and i'm not sure about the CBRD intercooler, we do offer an intercooler that uses the Garrett core as well if needed. What thickness are you looking at?

Thanks!

according to their site its $10 extra for each LICP and UICP. regarding fitment, these pipes work with the stock intercooler; any fitment issues will be on CBRD side.

my recommendation would be to buy the ETS 3.5" intercooler and call it a day
