I am not talking about a gasoline calibrated wideband ratio.

Do keep in mind that it requires 24-30% more fuel to power the car $2.61-2.74/gal vs $2.64 for 93 around these parts.

So effective fuel pricing is about the same, however you need to fill up more frequently.

yes sir, i am aware that gasoline calibrated widebands read in lambda which is 14.7 regardless of fuel type. i was simply correcting said statement about e85 stoich being 10:1 i was not aware that the e85 used was actually not e85 as he mentioned that he was not using the eca since he didnt not have the sensor.

how do you know the ethanol content without the sensor, im confused.

Sorry I didn't mean to sound like I was correcting anybody. Just posting a data point.

Agree on the sensor part, as he mentioned he wasn't using the sensor and the photo of the ECA has error on it. However you can do the ol' "mix with water in a tube" test to get a pretty accurate report of the percentage.

We are getting a large shipment of Flex Fuel sensors + ECA's in for the local E85 guys this week as we had a "issue" last month with a local station selling E50 instead of E85. Can't wait.

Yeh there's one down here known for doing that ****. The rest are pretty much on the level. The water test is pretty much used by many and gives reliable results. The Zeitronics ECA is a very nice unit I just wish the flex sensor was much cheaper.

How'd you get 1650's to work on the stock ecu, I though the biggest you could do was 1450's.

Nope, if we could remove enough fuel to cruise, then we could try 2250cc Ethamax injectors we have here in stock, but since the twin pump install the injector duty cycle has dropped 40-50% so we are good at the moment.

I wouldn't compare it to race gas, race gas is rated at 110 and higher. E85 is 105 right.

I don't think its right to compare it to regular 93 octane

I beleive Dmoevo was referring to pricing vs. e85 not the octane..
