Missing bolt in Megan O2 housing?

This is a slightly used FP Green and Megan O2 housing that I purchased recently. I noticed that one of the bolts is missing that hold the two together. Is it missing for a reason? It looks like a tight spot, so I was thinkin' that maybe the bolt won't fit. Or were the folks who assembled it being lazy?

Correct me if im wrong, but i think a stud goes there not a bolt, and you use a nut to keep it together while the other 4 use bolts.

Nah thats on the manifold to turbo connection. It looks like a tight spot so they were just being lazy and didnt have a small enough bolt to put in there. Go to autozone and get a heat treated bolt that will fit and u should be fine....I would take it all apart tho just to check what else they have been lazy on too.....thats just me tho.

I believe that the bolt is suposed to be M10x1.25 for the thread. I do not remember the length. You definetly need to put a new on in. It missing will cause an exhaust leak. Nothing to major but definetly there. Make sure to get exhaust grade. Anything less might stretch on you.

No im pretty sure theres one on the o2 housing too. The guy before me was very lazy and left the same bolt out on mine. I couldnt find a bolt short enough to make that bend so I went to Mitsu. When I looked at the diagram I saw a stud in that place and not a bolt.

mmmmbst is right. There should be a stud there from the turbine housing.

I bought spare bolts/nuts/studs/gaskets/etc for the whole assembly. So, I should have a stud and nut for it. I just wanted to make sure that this isn't the normal way of doing things.

Thanks guys!

At the moment, I'm having a heck of a time with one of the bolts on the turbo to manifold connection. I used PB Blaster, an air impact gun (90psi ~260ft-lb) and tapping with a hammer. It's not budging. Argh...

yup thats lazy for ya. the dude before me also used the wrong bolts and when i went to remove them, they all broke off into the turbo. i ended up having to buy a new hot side because a machine shop broke off an easy out in one of the bolts. That whole thing was a bad experience. Good luck though!
