Size of long bolts to connect to engine stand?

Question Size of long bolts to connect to engine stand?

Does anyone happen to know offhand what size of long bolts I need to connect my engine to an engine stand?

couldnt tell yah off the top of my head but its usually easiest to just take your tranny bolts down to the hardware store and match up the thread pitch with the right length bolt, witch changes depending on your stand. Make sure they are Grade 8.

did you find any bolts? i can't find any ANYWHERE. they are M10x1.25 and i need like 110-120mm length for my stand.

Did you try home depot or a local hardware store. A place called "Fastenal" should be able to help you if you can't find them at home depot or lowes or something like that.

I work at Napa auto parts and we sell grade 8 bolts here from Dorman and Rockford. I just checked through the catalog for you and the longest I could even come up with is 100mm from them.

If I remember right, when I was building my 1st gen 4g63 I just used some of the block cap bolts from the engine to bolt it up to there, don't know if that helps or not but I believe they are the same thread size.

fastenal local here doesnt stock em in the long size. i'd have to order. i wonder if the head studs are long enough or the same thread... i am thinking they are finer thread

actually I ended up getting rid of the engine. So no more bolts needed. Thanks for the ideas though guys
