No suprise they are starting to make billet compressor wheels now. FP and now PTE have been making them for a while......."have to keep up with the Jones'!!"
According to their website, looks like they are going to start with the 4294, 4202 and 4508 initially and go from there. So probably not to many people in the Evo world have heard of or used them.

It's not "have to keep up with the Jones'!!". These wheels have been in the works for quite a while now. They had some updates they wanted to offer to the existing turbo lineup and it's not feasible to develop a cast wheel for the limited number they will sell. And being such a large company they are bound by a bunch red tape that places like PTE and FP don't have to deal with.
^^ still need to return your email or call^^^^
BW just released a billet 71mm turbo that is suppose to be right under a 42r as far as size. They are suppose to have a whole line coming out as well. I am going to run one of these on our shop car.

You are right we have NEVER had a problemt with Garrett turbos, BUT we have never made as much power with them as the BW either. I dont dispute the fact that Garrett is a GREAT build turbo BUT the engineering and machining that goes into the new AirWerks turbos is insane. For race/cars or just number chasers i woudnt put on anything else.
I heard about these about a year and a half ago for potential beta testing on a friends car. They have been a long time in process and I'm betting they deliver with their claims of 10% increase in flow and higher PR capability.
These should pretty nice. It will be interested to see how they stack up against FP and PTE compressors.
Davethewave, its not an ATP kit. These are the newest turbos from Garrett that will have billet compressors with updated aerodynamics.

I got to see them at SEMA this year. Definitely a nice looking design from what I can see. In talking to the one guy that I was able to it doesnt sound like the GTX-R is really going to be done in the smaller sizes, more for class racers with specific rule sets that need to be met. 42 and up which is still interesting. A projected 10% increase in flow, but looking at the compressor map of the 4294 it was well more than 10%.
well i mean, yea, i know its not an ATP kit but i for some dumb reason thought that we were talking about a new garrett turbo with ATP's proprietary "crap-tastic" turbine housing
