I goggled it and found a link to the Garrett website with compressor map comparisons:
EDIT: I see Slorice already found it, duh.

Here's the comparison map though.

The turbo looks nice in person. Interesting to see how they do on a car though.

I misread it the first time. Turbine wheels arent CNC's, theyre made from cast Inconel. Inconel is very tough to work with, and would destroy tooling very quickly.

Why would anyone CNC a turbine wheel? That's gotta be insanely expensive. A chunk of inconel can't be cheap. Then machining it out? There would probably be a ton of tool wear.

......... that's why i asked fellas

I believe someone mentioned in another forum that there is something in the works in regards to turbine wheel design ............

I beleive they do produce CNC machined turbine during developmental work to verify aero performance.

I think they just run a small batch of castings. Make a green mold or whatever a temporary, one-use mold is called to make the castings. Not cheap, but a lot cheaper than paying for the full-on tooling.

I do imagine the compressor wheels are just CNC machined for prototypes before developing castings. Aluminum is cheap and easy to machine.

Don't know for sure, I'm pretty sure I've seen Grocmax on here say he's seen billet inconel turbines.
