Tomei BOV?

Can anyone verify the difference between the Tomei BOV and the stock IX? We all know that Tomei usually doesn't disappoint when it comes to quality, however, from the pictures, externally they look exactly the same.

Anyone know for sure?

Main difference is the Tomei being all metal and the stocker just plastic. It is claimed that the Tomei flows better and doesn´t wear out as quickly as the stocker.

I have it installed, fits perfectly, no hassle there.

Not sure if you get the dreaded CEL/code 505 "Idle Air Control" malfunction with the BOV alone since I have also another intake pipe which contributes to that problem, but some people having aftermarket BOVs do (but more often with non-recirculating BOVs). You can search for that, there are some threads on it.

It only triggers the CEL, no real problem or misfunction.

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't clear, I meant the JDM IX MR valve, it looks identical to the Tomei other than the apparent Tomei logo on their valve.

I noticed it too. I always wondered what the difference was between the two.
