Wow that's unreal. I missed that one. The closest E-85 to me is 20 miles away unfortunately so I'm stuck on meth for now. To the original poster I'll just reiterate what everyone else said. If it's available, clearly it works, so use it. I certainly would. Gas mileage variances aren't really a very good argument against it IMO. Now if it smelled like *ss and costs double what 93 does then maybe it wouldn't be worth it.

+1. Guys who run e85 constantly carry gas cans full of it in their Evo because stations are hard to come by and it runs out so quickly. To me that takes away a lot of convenience out of driving your car to places.

Now if you're just racing? go for it. But for just street use? I say bag it.

Well if you drive around with your foot in the pedal nothing is going to last long...

e85 > meth/pump or race gas

If you have stations around, make the switch. You wont look back, cars run better, cleaner, faster, and it smells way better then race gas IMO. What more could you want? (and if you say MPG well go look what brian from GST motorsports gets)

Not to mention that meth usage causes a faster fuel burn rate too. I've noticed a measurable difference in gas mileage with the addition of alcohol and meth. I drive like an old man but when I'm on boost and the alcohol kicks in, I can almost watch the fuel needle drop.

Yah I'm not a big meth / alcohol fan either. But the main reason I don't get e85 is because the closest station is 30 miles. And one passed that is another 20 miles. It's just too much of a hassle around here. Sure if you have one on every block, i say it's great choice. But I'm not going to drive my car to somewhere I'm not at often and find they don't have any e85 and I need fuel . Too much of a headache for me even if you get extra power.

I sincerely wish I had it around here... It should be illegal that we can't get this stuff all over the country by now... Good luck with your decision, but really dont think its a hard one..

i change mine every 1500-2000 but i did that on pump gas. ive run into some issues where there wasnt ethanol at some pump so i put it 2 or 3 gallons of 93 to get me to another station, car runs but rich but hey it runs.

why are some people hating on ethanol?
