You don't actually need a tool to remove them. Just pull them out with your fingers.

if they wont come out with your fingers, use a needle nose pliers with a shop rag so you dont scratch them

is it possible for the cam lobe to be in the way, when trying to remove the lifters if so how do i get it to move? Also do i need a special tool to decompress the spring to be able to remove the lifters?

uh... it sounds like you shouldnt be any where near the inside of your head like you are...



You turn the cam to get the lobes out of the way.. your rockers should already be off.. and just.. yeah..

There's methods where you pry the rockers off and back on. I don't like all that prying so I just pull the cams.
