worth it to re upgrade IC and LICP?
worth it to re upgrade IC and LICP?
Ok, heres the deal
I bought this car with a decent amount of things done to it. I got the car running extremely well compared to when I bought it and changed a few things along the way. Now Im stuck at the next thing if I wanna touch or not
The car came with Injen piping and an Xo2 racing 4" core IC. I know the IC is not the best compared to the bigger names, but from feeling the end tanks it feels like its doing what it needs to do.
The Injen LICP is kinda bootlegged together to the IC and I just patched a huge boost leak from the prev owner to it. Plus the bottleneck looks horrendous to me.
Now, im thinking about going to the ETS 3.5" core and ETS or AGP licp (im thinking the AGP one over ETS though due to it being aluminum)
Anyone really think this is a pointless spend of $700?
The only justification i have here is that the summers here I see 90+ degrees no problem. My intake pipes and manifold always feel hott, but the IC feels to do its job. I rarely see knock.
Ideas?
For reference I am running an FP Green turbo, cammed and all other supporting mods at about 25.5psi daily.

No point to upgrade the intercooler again unless you plan on doing a crazy build further along down the line. As for the LICP, there are plenty of fast cars running OEM charge pipes, and plenty running aftermarket pipes. If yours is really as hacked together as you say, then by all rights, get a replacement....but if it is still working fine, no point in spending money if you don't need to.
I just did a $35 dollar LICP of Ebay, they are still selling them, no hose connectors or clamps though. I did however find that Agency Power has the turbo outlet to LICP coupler 2.5 to 1.75 for $18 or so. Went local for the clamp, cost me like $6-$10 bucks for the screw kind, that have the spring, I think they are called bolt clamps, either way, total was like $60 for a LICP, and 10 minutes to install...
Might be a cheap suggestion to get rid of the pieced together one.
Good luck.

If i can get that Muse one that cheap, i Might jsut do that.
The IC thing is a big step, and not sure I will see gains from my current setup
